The House of Representatives recently passed a bill authorizing the industrial use of Gateway National Park. A proposed high pressure gas pipeline will go directly under the beach at Riis Park, under protected wetlands in Jamaica Bay, and a proposed metering station in Floyd Bennett Field, a National Park, will be only yards from a community garden.
