The NELSON'S SPARROWS were very cooperative. Viewing the saltmarsh was
easily done by following the edge plantings to the east and going down to
the water's edge and standing on the rocks. We (Dale Dancis, Kathy and
myself) had 3 Nelson's Sparrows in the same binocular field of view several
times. The # of birds could easily have been 5 and we suspected 4 birds
many times but only 3 were seen simultaneously.

Here is a Google Map for Randall's Island that shows the feeding area (blue
section) and the place where we stood (red icon): http://goo.gl/maps/t9UvA

Many thanks to Alan Drogin for finding and identifying these birds on
13-Oct and David Barrett's follow-up report of these birds on 14-Oct.
