Among the 33 species of birds I found on my morning walk at the Rocky Point
DEC property in Suffolk County this morning was a singing Kentucky
Warbler. I'm pretty sure I heard one on a couple occasions earlier this
spring, but I don't like to count this bird "heard-only" in New York
State. I had one singing in the same location for a couple days in May,
2009, and once again in May 2011.
