Date: 9-29-10 Location: Central Park NYC Reported By: Joe Giunta Our group of 12 birders from the NYC Audubon Wed. Morning Fall Migration series had a productive morning in Central Park. We saw 42 species. The highlights were two Rusty Blackbirds found at the 'Maintenance Meadow' and relocated later at Turtle Pond. We saw seven warbler species; Parula, Magnolia, Black-throated Blue, Black-and-white, Redstart, Ovenbird and Common Yellowthroat. We also picked up four sparrow species; Chipping,Song, Swamp and White-throated. One of the most numerous birds seen was the Scarlet Tanager. We saw eight Scarlet Tanagers in different locations throughout the 'Ramble'.
