Hello all,

Don't know if anyone saw this or why it has not been celebrated. 56 years
of past Kingbird Journals can now be viewed
on-line! This is a great accomplishment and a great resource for all! For
those that don't know, The Kingbird Journal is
the NYS Ornithological Journal that started in 1950.

As Berna Lincoln mentioned in an earlier post, the New York State Avian
Records Committee (NYSARC -- this
committee reviews reports of rare bird sightings in the state) is a
committee of the New York State Ornithological
Association (NYSOA). The Kingbird is the Journal that NYSOA puts out
quarterly. See their website for access to the past
journals and for membership information. Everyone that birds in NY should
be a member!

The site seemed to function fine fore me and I checked several years
including 1950 and 2006.

cheers,
Matt Young
