I've worked for a lot less than that when I had cashflow problems and was glad to keep solvent. Customer paid me weekly which really helped. My rates have got a lot better since I started doing mobile-app-and-website for companies to manage their workforce or resources. Less boring than yet another social media startup with pots of cash and no idea.
