Hi again everyone,

First of all my apologies on being so vague in my initial email, I have gone 
back to the company and asked some further questions and have the following for 
you:


1)      What systems/platforms will the candidate be using?
Heroku

2)      What other technologies?
Foundation, Bootstrap, jQuery, Javascript

3)      Do you use Agile methodologies
Jira

4)      As this is going to be the firsr Ruby Developer you employ what support 
will they have from the team you currently outsource to?
Support will be available from the existing outsource till fully transitioned

Another thing that may help is if one of the developers could briefly write 
down their normal day.
Difficult to answer this one, there will be pipelined projects, but there will 
be occasions when priority work requires delivering.

I hope this helps some of you in terms of finding out more about the role and I 
also hope it sparks some interest with some of you.

would prefer more information in job search posts. Eg what kind of system(s) 
would any candidates be working on, what tech and (agile) methods  are in use 
(besides the all-too-generic Ruby on Rails) how big is the existing team, and 
what's the salary range that the client is thinking of (their 'flexibility' on 
salary will have limits....).

I'm sure you'd get a better response than 'Liverpool city centre and RoR' which
