Hi Dave,

The GUI hang you are experiencing has already been reported in github, see https://github.com/ntop/ntopng/issues/813.

We are aware of the issue and are working on it, sorry for the inconvenient.

Regards,
Emanuele

More info: I’m now running the latest dev version 2.5.170124 <https://github.com/ntop/ntopng/commit/0eaccfe00b4cd5db256c40718b1b0d121ec1f5b9>- Enterprise Edition

I found the report I need but the GUI hangs when I select 1M, 6M or 1Y. It works with 1W or less.

More info on my report issue:

I have a database of about 600 local hosts on a 400Mbit connection. When I select the 1M report the WebGUI hangs with half the screen partially populated, am I asking ntopng to do too much? It’s running on a Dell Power Edge 1950, Dual Xeon 3GHz, 16GB, PERC RAID 1

Dear Dave,

The Professional version of ntopng contains a report module that allows you to print reports that include top hosts and all the information you mentioned.

ntopng, by default, starts in professional mode and stays in that mode for the first 10 minutes of execution. This should enable you to test it.

Simone

The main reason I use ntopng is to locate local hosts consuming
large amounts of data. I can currently do this but it’s very time
consuming pulling up individual ‘top hosts’ and then select
‘History’, then over the last ‘30 days’ etc. Can it be
implemented, or is there currently a way to simply display,
preview, or print a report based on criteria such a total data
usage over a selected period of time? I’m sure other users would
    like this feature.

    Thanks, Dave
