thanks for the report.
Did you name the file something.tex ? Your example works for me when I do
that.
Contrariwise, it doesn't work for me if I name the file something.ctx.
What did you name the file?
If something like "something.ctx" I'll take a look to see how deeply
embedded in AUCTeX the assumption that the file ends in .ctx is.
