I have run across an issue with a footnote in a title. The footnotes
must run sequentially throughout the book. The final footnote (in normal
text) towards the end of Chapter 4 was 93, so that means that the
footnote in the title of Chapter 5 should be 94, but it ends up being 95.
Naturally, one would prefer that there not be footnotes in titles, but
the author is insisting, so my challenge now is how to get this to be 94
and not 95. Clearly, placing a footnote in a title runs the risk of
losing the sequence, though I am not sure why.
Does someone have an idea how I might resolve this issue?
