Note for maintainers: this PR reopens the approved #7321 under a fresh branch. The original PR's checks could not be re-triggered — every recent `push`/`reopened`/new-PR event from this fork has produced no workflow runs (while unrelated fork PRs created today run CI normally), most likely a temporary event-trigger restriction caused by my repeated `ci: retrigger` empty commits on that PR — apologies for the noise. The change content and its module-scoped verification are unchanged from #7321 (approved by @Aias00).
