As I said, many would appreciate it. The reason I wrote the long diatribe was because I believe node/javascript offers a unique base for the freedoms I mention. If the community as a whole adopted something and all the new useful modules required it, that would be a great shame.
It would hinder forward architecture progress like ROR did. ROR can't come close to the architecture features I'm using now. And you seem to be asking for an ROR equivalent for node. That would slow down the awesome progress node has been enabling. In other words, be careful what you ask for.
