Hi Peter, I think the vendor driver doesn't enable ASPM per default. So it's worth a try to disable ASPM in the BIOS or via sysfs. Few older systems seem to have issues with ASPM, what kind of system / mainboard are you using? The RTL8168 is the onboard network chip?
