I ask you a very specific question, you start playing silly games with words. This is why it has been hard to make progress with you. I didnt ask what you are doing without the patch or whether you will use the patch at all, rather whether it will restore the functionality that was broken. Let me repeat the question again: Is Stefan's patch going to restore the functionality that you need? Look at his code and doc that he provided on how drivers would work.
