Is it me who play word games? You ask me if a patch "will restore the functionality" when you know the patch itself is _non_functional? Do you really want or need my help to make progress? >From my perspective it looks like you're concentrating on personal attacks. How many times have you said that I'm slowing "your" progress, that my drivers are unimportant, and I don't care for something (unspecified) I should. What do you care for? What idea or code have you shown? Sorry, anything like "we need a hybrid out of Stefan's and Thomas' patch" doesn't count. Last but certainly not least: how many technical (as opposed to personal) questions and explanations from me remain ignored by you? I admit I don't understand a significant part of your messages. Are you asking if those 3 netif_dormant*() functions are good enough for my drivers? Of course they are, do you think who has written them? (oops, it never existed) I never said the patch has to provide more than it tries to do. In fact I've stated that my WAN drivers are not a show stopper here at all. What else can I do for you here?
