Sorry for the delay in response there, however, I've got a little more info.
-I upgraded the router (computer B) to 2.6.13, and there's no noticeable change in performance. -If 2.6.12 is fine, I've replicated the bug (using FTP). -System hard locks ONLY when RECIEVING, NOT sending. -I tested (and confirmed this) against a 100mbps xbox. I can copy from it at a full 100mbps (borderline 10MB/sec), but sending to it causes a lock. -As torrenting with heavy downstream (~500kB/sec) causes a lock in roughly 20 minutes of use (tops), and 20 seconds of FTP with 10MB/sec causes a lock in a matter of seconds, I'd imagine that using a gigabit end connection would lock it rather quickly. One thing of note... I have an NV FX5200 in here, likewise using the nvidia "kernel tainting" drivers. Do I 100% NEED TO replicate this with that module unloaded, or is it fine (if nothing else, for now)? The other thing... as I said, I bought three. Two of them run linux, my desktop and my router. My router does not seem to lock, my desktop does. The main difference? The desktop has a 64-bit PCI card slot, and likewise is in use. Other than that, I can't name a (real) difference... Attached is the requested info. If the mailing list strips them all, I'll repaste inline. If this "passes" you guys, I'll file it on the bug tracker.
