There are nominally competing efforts in Winnipeg (MBIX and WPGIX), Calgary (YYCIX and AlbertaIX), Montreal (QIX and Peer1), Vancouver (BCIX and Peer1), and even Toronto (TorIX, Peer1, CANIX, and IIX).
