I think I was actually missing out on a big part of MLO when I originally
responded to this. I am now able to achieve what I need by adding multiple
levels of custom sorting to the view that I am using (previously I had been
using one of the default views). :) I can see how Dwight's suggestion would
allow the original request in this post to be implemented, but with custom
views and multiple levels of grouping/sorting, I no longer see the need for
implementing this.

Now the only thing missing for me is sorting my context. I see grouping by
context, but not sorting by context. Does anyone know of a way to achieve
this?
