Why I'm / we're getting this type of messages?
Hi Matthias,
These are messages sent to the mutt users mailing list. They are legit
messages. As Yahoo advises other mail servers to reject all mail from
Yahoo.com addresses that are not sent through a yahoo.com smtp
servers, this breaks mails from any yahoo users to mailing lists that
will normally be sent with the from address of the original sender. As
a result of this, mailing list servers might become blacklisted,
bounces can be generated, and in general havoc and inconvenience can
be caused for many innocent persons.
To work around this issue, this mailing list encapsulates any such
messages and then forward them to the list. Unfortunately, the subject
of such messages seems to get cleared. I don't think this is something
under our control but of the generous people who host the mutt-users
mailing list for the project. Kevin, do you know if this is anything
that can be changed / fixed?
