procmail seems so useful and I do not know of a good replacement for some of its resources. I use the formail tool quite often.
I find it strange that such a useful tool never gained a maintainer. Here is a useful message: http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-ports&m=141634350915839&w=2 but to me it explains why the author had to leave, not why no one picked it up. Is procmail fundamentally flawed or it is just that no one has found the time and love to commit to maintaining it again? Of course I do not judge. I have not done anything to help (except this complaint!). I am just curious. Please let me know if such an email is off-topic (I suppose this does not have direct relevance to mutt) and I will refrain from similar questions in the future. Kind regards, xu
