That is the function of the "delete" command; simply specify "delete=false'. Getmail is a marvelous package which provides excellent control, such as limiting the number of messages downloaded in a single session. And getmail can log each transaction (which is to say, each message downloaded). Also, getmail can pass downloaded messages to maildrop for sorting. RLH
