See, it's not all that easy :) So before spending a lot of time to
figure it out, I thought it a good idea to see if there's already a
solution available.

That would be a good approach if I could program emacs. Unfortunately,
I'm finding Lisp anything else than elegant --- rather totally
unreadable and not at all understandable.
