Apparently someone thought it was a good plan to locate the font versions with updated encodings within the OpenWindows environment, rather than leaving them in with the rest of X, even though OpenWindows is supposed to be disappearing RSN. Running xset +fp /usr/openwin/lib/locale/iso_8859_15/X11/fonts/TrueType gives me access to these fonts. If I could bear running CDE or OpenWindows, this might even work automatically, but alas, I can't. Thanks to Mark Reed for finding that. -- -D. Fresh fruit enriches everyone.
