Hi there, I am trying to convert to using imap(s) with mutt (version 1.4i). I am running into a few problems which very well may be due to a misconfiguration on my part.
1) When I start mutt the following screen comes up (I am using imaps): ====================================================================== q:Exit ?:Help This certificate belongs to: imap.sfu.ca Unknown Simon Fraser University Academic Computing Services Burnaby This certificate was issued by: imap.sfu.ca Unknown Simon Fraser University Academic Computing Services Burnaby This certificate is valid from Sep 4 04:03:45 2000 GMT to Nov 21 04:03:45 2009 GMT Fingerprint: FEDC BA98 7654 3210 0123 4567 89AB CDEF -- Mutt: SSL Certificate check (r)eject, accept (o)nce ====================================================================== The mail server uses a self-signed certificate. What I find strange is not having the option "accept for all future seesions". Thus, everytime I start mutt I have to hit "o" to continue. Is there a way around this, so that I am not asked again? 2) after hitting "o" and entering my password the inbox opens. But it shows all messages having a length of 0: ========================================================================= q:Quit d:Del u:Undel s:Save m:Mail r:Reply g:Group ?:Help 1 N + Aug 14 Jon Smith ( 0) Re: PBS hostname question 2 N + Aug 14 Super-User ( 0) bugaboo.hpc.sfu.ca 08/14/02:09.01 system ... -*-Mutt: imaps://imap.sfu.ca/INBOX [Msgs:2 New:2]---(reverse-date//date)-(all)- ============================================================================== Only after I viewed the message I see the real length: ============================================================================== q:Quit d:Del u:Undel s:Save m:Mail r:Reply g:Group ?:Help 1 + Aug 14 Jon Smith ( 247) Re: PBS hostname question 2 N + Aug 14 Super-User ( 0) bugaboo.hpc.sfu.ca 08/14/02:09.01 system ============================================================================== How can I fix this? In case it matters: the mail server runs Solaris, the problems with the mutt client appear under Linux and Solaris in the same way. Thanks for you help in advance!
