I may have been mistaken, but I gave up trying to get slrnpull to work with vvv.nntp/mutt. I believe the patch requires an actual nntp server to connect to, not a static database like the one generated by slrnpull. Corrections warmly solicited :-) I've gotten vvv.nntp working with leafnode, and I must say it's *slick as hell* -- it's exactly what I was looking for.
