I had the same thought at first, but I figure in the end this might cause more confusion than its worth. I worry we will get people complaining that they can't use different attributes for mono vs. color. Also, the way its implemented currently thsi would be difficult. If you have a color term, the mono commands are basically ignored because there is only one table for attributes.
