I mean); AOL catches the mail and then later hands it down to her.

I presume, though, that she can get mail from others and it's just mail

Hmmm...  It's a long shot if only AOL mail bounces, but you or your ISP
might be on a blackhole list.  The diags mentioned above will help us
figure that out.

No, the huge thread was "what is AOL's SMTP server so I can send mail out
through them", and it went on so long because nobody believed the answer
was "they don't have one".
