it works for me, although for some reason if i have $TERM set to xterm i
get weird gaps in the display (maybe my terminfo settings).  xterm-color
(sorry thomas) works perfectly most of the time with putty for me.  i'd
suggest messing around with your $TERM settings... but mutt can
definitely work with color in putty.

i have weird colors setup in Eterm, so i call mutt with a wrapper script
asking if i want light, dark, normal (weird), or no color.... helpful
when checking remotely or from console.

i think terraterm might look a little better than putty, but it doesn't
support v2 AFAIK so i've stuck to putty pretty much (secureCRT once in a
while but i don't care for that either) when on 'doze boxes.
