 There is none. The problem, as you stated correctly, is that mutt
 passes sender and recipient addresses to $sendmail on the command
 line, but procmail expects only rcfiles and/or environment assignments
 as arguments.

 send-hooks would seem a logical alternative, but I have no idea
 why the restrictions you quoted exist in the first place.

 How exactly to you change the recipient headers? Are you trying to
 work around a different kind of config problem (eg. masquerading)?
