Try setting your terminal language (LANG=de_DE). Recent mutt versions use that

Seperate your alternates with a pipe:
set [EMAIL PROTECTED]|[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Please download the recent version of mutt (1.2.5i) from mutt.org because 1.0.1
has some descent bugs...
