Make sure you have the subscribe command in you .muttrc. For example:
subscribe mutt- suse- proftpd
This will match the lists you mentioned. See the manual for more
info.
I have a quick (and somewhat related) question for the list... What's
the difference between subscribed addresses and ones that are just
known as mailing lists (i.e., what practical difference does it make
if I use lists vs subscribe in my .muttrc)?
