this is strange.
I have set "list"-mode in vim, seems as if this causes the problem:
Copy and paste using the mouse seems to convert the blank into a dot.
Sorry, don't know why this occurs and therefore have no fix for that,
except watching for this problem when posting.
Perhaps this is wrong in .vimrc?
set listchars=tab:»·,trail:·
