Although I agree that a "stationery" option (a la MacOS) would be
welcome (say, invoked by some new command, "compose-with-stationery"
that offers a choice of starting body), this particular one might be
easier.
Majordomo comes with an admin script that might work. If not, it's
easy enough to make a simple shell or perl script that takes an
address as argument and sends off a subscribe or unsubscribe to
majordomo. I've been meaning to do that for myself. I'm mostly just
unsub'ing people whose accounts have gone away.
