It would be a kludge, but what about creating either a symlink in
~/Mail to ../folders so that you could use
folder-hook =folders/funnies
or a dummy subdir so that you could use
folder-hook =dummy/../../folders/funnies
(or any path). I haven't seen a path like "=../blah" or something
else close, so this is all I can think of.
As far as matching an exact folder name, I know what you mean but
don't have an answer :-)/2
