Thanks to everyone who replied. I think I might have this down now. I
have MAIL=~/Maildir and $folder=~/Mail.

Now, I also have a "| preline procmail" in my .qmail so I am wondering
what path my mail is taking. When I fire up mutt, it shows me as being
in ~/Maildir and new messages are there. When I quite mutt and the start
it up again, the messages are gone, now moved to the directories
specified by my .procmailrc. This "two-step" seems kind of odd to me.
Does this mean that I will see all new mail in ~/Maildir and then it
gets moved according to .procmailrc? That makes no sense to me. The mail
should be filtered by procmail as it arrives so I don't see a ton of
mailing list stuff in my ~/Maildir. Have I got this wrong? Also, the
procmail I just installed is supposed to be able to do Maildir style
mailboxes. Right now it is just appending the mail onto files in ~/Mail.
