Reply-To:
Sorry I havent gottn back with my problem sooner but I havent had the time.
Ok Ive added aliases using the a key and accepting the defaults
I added 3 addresses.
And added
set alias_file=~/.mutt.aliases
source ~/.mutt.aliases
to my .muttrc
Then from the commandline I source ~/.mutt.aliases and get
"unexpected syntax errors in ./mutt.aliases"
the default settings look like
alias myname "my formal name" (myemail@address) I dont see any "bad" syntax
also... looking at my *default* created ./muttrc.aliases one
formal name has " " the other dosent??
If I use m [for mail] vi opens with the cursor behind the Subject
If I move it to behind the To: and hit tab nothing happens other than beep
*where* exactly... am I suposed to use the tab key to show a list of addresses?
I am successful at adding "saved" dir though... mutt prompts for a filename etc...
please advise
Thanks
rob
