This really should be on the Procmail list (send a request to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]), but... so far, I think
everyone's not <quite> right...
If you're trying to use procmail to filter everything on this list in
to a foler, you <need> to go for a header that the list software will
set for every message it sends out but WON'T be set for anything sent
to you, directly (eg. someone responds to one of your posts and copies
you, with most of the reponses here the directed mail would end up in
the mutt-users folder).
If you take a close look at each and every message, you'll notice the
following consistencies between them:
- The "From" line (no colon) comes from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
- "Return-Path:" is set the same
- "Mail-Followup-To:" is set to (contains) [EMAIL PROTECTED]
- "Sender:" is set to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
- "Precedence:" is set to "bulk"
...so it would seem like you would want to filter on one or more of
those characteristics... (and to set it on something that's not included
in the message envelope just seems <wrong> if you're interested in the
filter behaving predictably (IMO))

...though this will fail for bcc's to the list.
Here's what I recommend (so far this has a 100% hit rate and everything on the
list hits my mutt_users folder -- though if the list ever changes server names,
it will start to fail):
-- begin
# The Mutt Users Mailing List
#
# From [EMAIL PROTECTED]
:0 H:
* ^From.*mutt-users-owner-.*@ns.gbnet.net
mutt_users
-- end
(So now that this is beat to death, can we go on with life?)

Russell
