Hi folks.

I'm new to mutt, so don't jump on me, please.
The advantage is that I have no complicated .muttrc you might
have to scan for errors.

I've startet mutt on a RedHat 5.2 system (the usual mutt RPM
is installed there) and read my mail. When finished, I hit 'q'
to quit mutt and was aksed wether I feel the urge to save read mail
to ~/mbox. I said 'y' and hit return.

The problem was that my quota was exceeded and ~/mbox could not
be filled. (yet it was possible to create it since my inode quota
was okay) The result was that mutt quitted and left BOTH the mbox
AND /var/spool/mail/$USER emtpy. My mails were lost.

I've tested a little more. This also happens when ~/mbox already
exists. I guess it also happens when the disk is full, not only
when your quota is reached. I don't know wether it happens if
~/mbox can not be created.

I considure this a bug. If it's an old one I'm sorry. I've
read the mutt FAQ by Fefe and the mutt fixes page by guckes. Didn't
find it there.

Greetings,
      Andy
