Looking at this a bit more, I think there are two "solutions". One is to declare "exact address" deprecated and pull it out.
Another might be to only capture exact-address data when a comment field is parsed in an address.
For now, you can try this patch. I'll think about whether to include it in 1.14.0 the next couple days. It would good to get any feedback you have during that time.
I'm inclined to include this. But note this does not fix other issues where Mutt will generate completely illegal output. I would strongly advise disabling the configuration to be honest.
