No, that's not working. The content gets preserved, but now the leading and trailing boundaries generated by my "filter" script (quotes, since for testing I just have it producing static content not really filtering) get duplicated by mutt. That results in an invalid message that my MDA fails to properly deliver.
To be clear I was mainly looking into this out of curiosity, I don't know that I'd actually use the capability even if it worked.
