Kevin: You must be right, because now 1.7.0 (which I'd previously built on
this machine) and 1.7.1 won't build now either.
Wonder if it's related to something that changed in Xcode (just from a
quick web search):

(fwiw, libcrypto.dylib is a symlink to libcrypto.0.9.8.dylib)
Explicitly calling --with-ssl=/usr/lib doesn't help. However, I can build
fine against the newer OpenSSL that's not vendor provided, so that works
fine for me for now. I'm happy to do some more troubleshooting if it seems
like this could be something that would affect other people.
