I can not reproduce the false write detection on copying mail to a
different folder than the current one with hg tip. I have tested with
$check_mbox_size both on and off, and with $mail_check_recent on and off.
Copying a message to the currently opened folder is a separate case. I'd
argue it is not really a bug, but the fact that "new message in this
folder" means "there is some message here that was not here before", not
necessarily that it is unseen by you.
Feel free to reopen this bug if the mbox detection still doesn't work
properly.
