Funded PhD position in Music Technology available at University of Oslo

The Department of Musicology at The University of Oslo invites applications for 
a 3+1 years PhD Research Fellowship (SKO1017) in the field of Music Technology.

The successful candidate will work on an independent research project in the 
field of music technology. We especially encourage novel applications in 
proposals with a strong focus on multimodal and social aspects of sound and 
music computing, including one or more of the following: data-driven analyses 
of music perception, machine learning, computational creativity, collaborative 
tinkering, and motion analysis. Other topics include, but are not limited to: 
techno-anthropological study of new music technology, investigating baselines 
in music and motion from data driven perspectives.
