I suggested you check your aliases (using the 'alias' command with no
parameters) to see if 'ls' has been aliased.
It might contain a line that looks like :
    alias ls='ls --quoting-style=shell'

主题:[Msys2-users] Space in pathnames

Hi,

I have updated recently my msys2 and I see that now, files which have a
space in their name are displayed inside quotes :

$ ls -1
'CAHIER ORAUX GLOG SEQ3.xlsx'
examen_oral_exos_2016_v1.docx
GL_anglais.zip
QuestionsCours_2016_anglais.xls

Is there an option somewhere controlling this behavior ?

Best regards,

Fabrice
