I thought that the collected address book would automatically delete the 
least recently used addresses from the address book when it was full? If 
it doesn't then that's how I think it should work.

It'd be the best way, imposing a time limit for expiry isn't the best 
solution, you don't use Mozilla for a few weeks and you collected 
address book empties.
