Some people I know owned some land on the west side of the RR track -- a house
and some out buildings and a pole barn -- I'm not sure how many acres they
owned but it was a few. They were "encouraged" to sell their property so that
some expansion could be done on some sort of railroad terminal or something. I
believe the construction was to be on the west side of the tracks and work was
getting underway before they moved. I'm not sure if they have moved out yet, I
know if they have, it is very recent. But if I understand correctly, it was
their impression that the construction would be limited to the west side of the
tracks. Perhaps the industrial park has sold other lots as well, but maybe
not!

Subject: [mou-net] Randolph Ind. Pk. RIP?

Ventured out to Randolph Industrial Park this past Sunday. All indications are
that they plan to develop this site in the coming year. There is new signage
that proclaims "coming autumn 2013" and there are numerous large earth-moving
machines staging at the roads terminus. This was inevitable of course. It is,
after all, an industrial park. But I rather fancied the status quo. I believe
the Dickcissels did as well. It was not a happy day for me. If anyone has any
more definitive information on this site, I would appreciate it.
