Hi, just read Rick's post. I am from LI, NY and I can remember having to travel out to Eastern LI to see a cardinal in the winter. They started their expansion in the mid 70's long before any mention of global warming. This has always been attributed to greater availability of food, both natural & from feeders. I just think the Audubon article is guilty of oversimplifying the issue of range expansion. _________________________________________________________________ Windows Liveā¢: Keep your life in sync. http://windowslive.com/explore?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_t1_allup_explore_022009 ---- Join or Leave mou-net:http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives:http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
