I have come across this problem - on debugging the package will not intall
Specific to one project which I have not touched for months Other projects work no problem to same device The error is given in a warning box which I've copied (perhaps not accurately) here Mono.Android.Tools.InstallFailedExcepton: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE] at Mono.Android.Tools.Intenral.AdbOutputParsing.CheckInstallSussess(string output,String packageName) at Mono.Android.Tools.AndroidDevice.<>c_DisplayClass27.<InstallPackage>b+26(Tas k1 t) at SystemThreading.Tasks.Task1.<>c+DisplayClass17.<ContinueWith>b_16(Object obj) at System.Threading.Tasks.TaskInnerInvoke() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute() I cant get much clue from the android device log - there's so much in there and I don't make sense of what I am seeing I found an exchange on some other forum where Jon Pryor seems to be suggesting it is a 'signed.apk' problem but I can't see what to do about it The only thing which seems to be coincident is that I made the project folder link to Dropbox - since then this error has occurred - of course I've reverted and even copied in an old back up from the time when everything was fine I've also updated Android SDK - but if this were the problem all other mono projects would be affected Help please am desperate - 'twould be much appreciated PS should I be posting additionally on the mono for android/xamarin forums?
