FYI My impressions on performances are that running on Intel Core i7 920 the 4.0.3 *x86* emulator is actually faster than the real device - Galaxy Nexus (subjective feeling).

Hi Jonathan, First of all, thank you very much for your fast reply. It has been very usefull. But, I yet have some doubts. You say that the execution in real hardware is much faster. But, is debuging much faster too? For me this is almost as important as the release execution 8·) Do you have an aproximate release for 4.2.4? And, how can I download the 4.2.1? I've not seen any "old release repository" page (sorry, maybe its easy to find, but I've been unable to find it) And, for the "Deploy mode". Maybe I didn't explain myself verywell (ok, I'm sure I didn't explain at all 8·D). What I meant is: if I deploy my project (in VS.NET Right Click on the project node and click "Deploy"), the app is packaged and installed, but never launched. I get a "Process xxxx died" in the log without even showing the activity view in the emulator. The very same project, when launched in "Debug Mode" (Project Node, Right Click & Debug/Run new instance) runs and shows the app main activity page. This is happening to me with monodroid 4.2.3 (that I installed because the "stable" versión was so slow debuging, and I thought it would improve - what had appeared to be a too optimistic reasoning 8·D -- View this message in context: http://mono-for-android.1047100.n5.nabble.com/VSNET-Debug-in-Real-Device-tp5710339p5710356.html Sent from the Mono for Android mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Monodroid mailing list Monodroid@lists.ximian.com UNSUBSCRIBE INFORMATION: http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/monodroid _______________________________________________ Monodroid mailing list Monodroid@lists.ximian.com UNSUBSCRIBE INFORMATION: http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/monodroid
