Serious mistake - I have some demos to do right on the new year so I decided to upgrade to v 4
Everything working fine up till then So I've spent Christmas eve f**ting around trying to get something to connect I've even gone back to an old Android phone I get an unhandled exception on deploying in debug to a sony xperai arc s Firstly the message said 'disable the fast deployment mode and let Xamarin know' Now I can't get any further I simply get Monodroid installation failed '/sdcard/tmp/com.murry/monandroidsqlite1.apk failed permission denied ' 'at Monodroid.adb.install.dll (device device String package Boolean external Boolean force) At Novell.MonodoridVS.Deployment tasks .Install(Device device MonodroidFlavorProject project StringPackageFile StringPackageName Boolean Force Boolean external Cancellationtoken token ) All really comprehensible stuff of course If one is lucky the ADB will recognise there is an android phone attached - that is a wing and a prayer now whereas previously it was previously rock solid Then after selecting the device to debug upon after a short while one gets this unhandled exception The bottom line is I can;t go anywhere cant do anything now - how do I revert to the previous version ? I've tried rebooting cleaning etc - 5 reboots so far of both PC and android device - still same unhandled exception I hear the chorus - shut up John and go and enjoy Christmas I know I don't know much but why oh why does it have to be even more difficult than it already is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate to swear on Christmas eve but I'VE CHANGED NOTHING' and before the update everything worked fine For the love of Pete WHY does every upgrade come with its own assault course seasons greeting to all John Murray
